It’s that wonderful time of year again when everything is going back in the water, fish are starting to show back up in nearby waters, and locals are jamming the boat ramps and docks to dust the winter cobwebs off of their boats and fishing gear. Cruise ship passengers taking advantage of reduced pricing in the shoulder season give us our first glimpse of what fishing might be like come the peak of the king salmon run in mid-June. So far, the 2010 king season looks to be fairly promising.
This is one of my two most favorite times of the year — the anticipation of what is still to come, looking forward to seeing some great friends that return each year to fish with us, and the excitement that comes with getting to be a part of people’s treasured memories.
We’re excited to see what this season will bring and look forward to sharing it with you. Here’s to tight lines and a fabulous 2010 season!
